Hey! This week labour!

Here I show you almost a tutorial of polymer clay clock. At least it is step by step photo story. It si unfinished and not described in detail, but I will finish - hopefully this week and I would think about making tutorial and revealing all secrets behind my clock making! Isn't that exciting!?

So I put pictures in one place:

It is three days of work, every day several hours. I start with a "naked" cardboard. Now it is all coated in polymer clay and pre-baked two times. But still a lot to do. :)

Edit:  New steps of progress:

Lilac and blue - polymer clay wall clock - just baked!

Today I've finished this lovely pie. I put lots of pastels' powder and a bit of silver powder. Took me several hours and I'm suprised I had time to take some pictures at the end.

Here it is:

Clock under construction.

I've worked on it for the last couple of days. I had a break on weekend (when I was mostly sketching in my free time). And I plan to finish it this week. But there are new ideas on the horizon and they are real threat to that clock... there isn't anything so distracting sculpting of a particular clock as a new ispiration for another clock. :)

Monochromatic

Today new wall clock was baked. This time I limited the number of colors. Actually I've used just blue and white and a bit of brown dots. And this is the result, quite calming. Also, for the first time I managed to weight the piece between pre-baking and I got the final weight of fresh polymer clay which is 27grams. Half the package. Quite a little. Photos:

Flowery treasure box.

Top is made of polymer clay. It was painted with pastels' powder before baking. I used some glass beads for insect. I also put some glossy varnish on drops. Total summertime inspiration.
Made of FIMO.

It was made as a present.
